The United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) Board of Directors recently approved several Small Grants in the second round totaling $14,380.81. The Small Grants Program is an outreach of the Community Impact funding process. The available amount of grant dollars each year is subject to change. One-time grants, up to $5,000 are awarded to organizations aligned with UWSWMN’s priority areas. There are two deadlines for the Small Grants Program each year, with the next deadline being August 31, 2017.
Health: Southwest Health and Human Services
The grant will cover additional evaluation with underrepresented portions of our communities specifically the Hmong population in the Tracy and Walnut Grove areas to identify barriers to health. Data collected will be analyzed and shared throughout the region with SWHHS and other medical/human service programs and providers. Grant award: $5,000.00
