The Salvation Army has been active in Murray County since the Red Kettle was started here at Christmas time of 2003. Since then, we have been proud to provide extra school supplies to Fulda and MCC students each year.
This year, we went a step further and invited several area students to “Shop With a Cop”. Slayton Police Officers, Jesse Hoffmann, Devin Gillette, and Chief Brian Christensen, along with Murray County Sheriff Steve Telkamp, helped distribute new backpacks and school supplies to some very excited kids! The officers feel that this program is a great way to connect with local youth in a positive way.
Please be aware that all donations made to your local Salvation Army stay right here in Murray County to fund special programs and provide assistance all through the year.
