1965 – Sholi Cas Johnson – 2019
Sholi Johnson (Stellmacher) was born September 16, 1965, in Minneapolis, MN, to Cheri and Arne. She then moved to Westbrook, MN, for a short while before moving to Slayton, MN. After moving to Slayton, she attended Slayton High School, where she met her future husband, Rande. Shortly after marriage, Sholi and Rande made their home in Hadley and had three children together. After the birth of their first child, Sholi was a stay at home mother. After some time as a stay at home mother, Sholi entered the workforce and worked various jobs in Slayton until her caring and nurturing personality led her to the home health care industry, where she worked until her passing on September 24, 2019.
Sholi enjoyed spending her free time with her grandchildren, who were her everything. She also enjoyed cooking meals large enough to feed a small army. In between spending time with her grandkids and cooking, she also enjoyed visiting with friends, reading, taking naps, playing games on her phone, connecting with friends on social media, watching documentaries on the History channel, watching silent movies on AMC, and never missing an episode of Ghost Adventures.
Surviving members of Sholi’s family include her husband, Rande Johnson, Hadley, MN; her three children, Christipher (Kayla) Johnson, of Avoca, MN, Brycen (Ashley) Johnson, Hadley, MN, and Lyndsey (Nick) Hodgson, Slayton, MN; her grandchildren, Kenadie Hodgson, Dylan Johnson, Jack Johnson, Hadley Johnson, Ellie Hodgson, Ali Johnson, Aubrie Johnson, and Adalie Hodgson; two brothers, Shane Scarset, North Mankato, MN, and Jonah (Lori) Scarset, Norwood-Young America, MN; and her mother, Cheri Paulsen, Fulda, MN.
She is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gunder Johnson and Leona Johnson, her grandmother, Hazel Stellmacher, and her mother’s husband, Michael Paulsen.
