1952 – Sandra Lee Coon – 2019
Sandra Coon was born on August 10, 1952, in Troy, New York to George and Mary Grosebeck Weber. She grew up and attended High School in Mechanicville, New York. Sandra graduated from Hudson Community College. Sandra later moved to Vermont where she worked as a machinist. In 2005 Sandra moved to Currie, Minnesota where she met her life partner, Greg Pommier. Sandra passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota at the age of 67. She was a member of IHM Church in Currie, Minnesota. She also was a member of the Currie American Legion Auxiliary. Sandra enjoyed camping, playing cards, traveling, doing crafts and jewelry making.
Survivors include her partner Greg Pommier, Currie, MN; four children: Louis George Coon, John Coon, and Brian Coon all of Bennington, VT, and Dorothy Coon, Richmond, NH; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four siblings and their spouses: Colleen Clark, Wamego, KS, Michael and Mary Weber, Pownal, VT, George, and Lacey Weber, Stillwater, NY, and Anthony and Anne Weber, Mechanicville, NY. She was preceded in death by parents; and three brothers: Gary, Joseph, and Kenny Weber.
Memorial services at IHM Church in Currie, MN on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. R. Paul Heiting officiating. The organist is Patty LeClaire. The song leader is Hollie Pommier. Interment will be private. Visitation continues one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Totzke Funeral of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.
