For the first conference match-up of the year, the Rebels traveled to Adrian on Thursday to take on the Dragons.  After coming off a three set win over Dawson-Boyd the week before, the Rebels looked to continue their dominance, but the Dragons gave the Rebels a good fight as the match was decided in five sets.

The Rebels took the first point of the first set on a net violation call against Adrian, but the Dragons followed by earning their point back.  Both teams went back and forth in scoring for the first few volleys before Adrian went on a small run to take a 6-3 lead.  The Rebels countered that run with a four-point run of their own with a couple kills at the net along with an ace serve to regain the lead, 7-6.

A short while later, the Dragons called timeout after the Rebels gained a 10-7 lead off of errors made.  As they came out of the timeout, the Dragons regrouped and took the lead back from MCC with a short four-point run.  Then came the Rebels again with an answer to that run to take a 15-11 lead.
