To cap the week off, the Rebels softball team hosted the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers on Friday.  Both teams battled closely throughout the entire game, but a late run made the difference.

The Rebels got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning.  With one out, Camryn Boerboom was hit by a pitch and moved to second on a groudout hit by Amanda Muecke.  Shelby Christensen saw a couple pitches before she hit a ground ball back up the middle that scored Boerboom from second for the first run.  Shortly after, Katlyn Knakmuhs drilled a triple to right field that easily scored Christensen for the second run of the inning.  A groundout back to the pitcher kept Knakmuhs stranded at third as the Rebels took the field with a 2-0 lead.

After a quick top of the second inning, the Rebels got right back to hitting and added another run in the bottom of the third.  Montana Beckmann doubled to lead off the inning.  With one out, a groundout back to the pitcher moved Beckmann to third base before Brooklyne Miller singled to left field to score Beckmann for the third run for the Rebels.
