The MCC Rebels had a busy week of softball action this past week with seven games. They had two important conference doubleheaders against RRC/WWG and Mountain Lake Area. The Rebels finished out the week with a three-game tournament in Wabasso on Saturday. The action began on Tuesday as they played host to Red Rock Central Westbrook Walnut Grove. The Rebels were looking to start the Red Rock Conference season with a bang and they did just that.

In game one, the Falcons started the game with a quick run on a Haley Simonson single followed by a stolen base and a single by Hannah Nelson. The Falcons scored just one more time in the game and it was in the third inning.

The Rebels answered back in the first taking advantage of the Falcons pitching staff that struggled to throw strikes. MCC sent 11 hitters to the plate in the first scoring seven runs on just two hits. They took advantage of three walks, a hit batter and a couple of errors. The Rebels collected nine hits in the game with Tori Wieneke and Lilly Schmahl getting a pair of hits each.
