Rebel boys place third; girls capture sixth in Tracy

The Rebel runners traveled to Tracy on Tuesday, April 9th for their invitational. There amongst eight teams competing on the day. Others in the field were hosts Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, Montevideo, Mountain Lake Area, Lakeview, Wabasso along with Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda.

The Rebel boys earned third place overall while the girls came in sixth.

Individually Justin Clarke earned a pair of runner-up finishes in the long with his leap of 18’ 6.5” and also in the 1600 meter run crossing the finish line at 4:56. He also earned a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter event (57.21). Aaron Johnson finished second in the 100-meter run – just three seconds off first and also came in second in the 300-meter race. Brayden Ahlers was third behind Johnson in the 110-meter hurdle event at 17.44. Tyler Winter finished in the top five with a 5th place discuss toss of 113’ 09” and tied for fourth in the high jump event crossing the bar at 5’08”. Maverick Beckmann placed third in the 3200-meter run finishing with a time of 12:11. Dawson Brown contributed with a sixth-place leap in the long jump of 17’09” and placed fifth in the pole vault at 9’0”.
