Painted Prairie Vineyard holds ribbon-cutting ceremony

Painted Prairie Vineyard is proud to announce the opening of their new Painted Prairie Pavilion.   The new Pavilion is 4,225 square feet and houses a tasting room with seating for 125, a production space for the winery’s winemaking process, and a catering kitchen to support small to medium size gatherings.

Now open year round, the winery welcomes visitors to its rustic oasis.  Painted Prairie offers wine tastings which include four of their seven wine varieties and Kopper Cider, a hard apple cider made from Stonegate Orchard apples. The winery offers a variety of appetizer foods and a wide range of local craft beers including those from Brau Brothers in Marshall and Take 16 out of Luverne.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and private celebration event were held on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 in the evening. A larger grand opening event will be held for the public in the summer once the tasting room’s patio is complete.

Tasting room hours and a full list of events are available on Painted Prairie’s Facebook page and website: www.paintedprairiewine.com.

Nestled in the southwestern part of the state, Painted Prairie Vineyard is surrounded by local attractions unique to the area. Just south of Walnut Grove the winery is close to Laura Ingalls Wilder museum and the annual pageant. West of the vineyard is Lake Shetek, the largest lake in the area with fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and biking.   Just minutes away is the Historic “End O Line” Railroad Museum in Currie.
