South Dakota State women’s basketball head coach Aaron Johnston announced Wednesday that Abby Oakland was named director of basketball operations.
“We are pleased to have Abby join the Jackrabbit family. She has strong ties to the Midwest and she understands the role of a college coach very well. She will be a positive mentor for our student-athletes and a great addition to the community,” 17th-year head coach Aaron Johnston said.
A Fulda, Minn., native, Oakland comes to SDSU after spending three seasons with Southwest Minnesota State University where she helped with recruiting, player development, alumni relations and summer camps.
