Katie Fuoss and Sheila Van Iperen are the two new teachers at Chandler Christian School (CCS) this year. Fuoss will be teaching preschool and Van Iperen will be teaching kindergarten. Classes at CCS begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Fuoss has been teaching for three years. Since the fall of 2013 she has been the director and classroom teacher at Crossroad Preschool in Minneapolis. Prior to that she was involved in early intervention and behavioral therapy with children on the autism spectrum through the Lovaas Institute.
“I decided to focus my teaching towards the early childhood area because of the importance of walking alongside of a young child in such a critical time of their development,” Fuoss said. “Being able to give them opportunities to grow in the classroom in all of the areas of development at such a young age is a blessing.”
