Runners from eleven different teams hit the former Prairie View Golf course in Worthington last Thursday for the 50th annual Turkey-Trot cross country meet.
The MCC/Fulda girls varsity squad finished in the fourth place spot behind Fairmont (37), Martin County West (112), Pipestone Area (122) and MCC/F (134).
Morgan Gehl paced the MCC/F squad finishing a mere six seconds (19:30.40) behind the first place finisher Marisaa Whitehead (19:34.70).
Josie Harms cruised the 5k course in a time of 23:49 (35th) while Faith Bose hit the finish line at 24:06 (39th). Khloe Gehl was not far behind in 43rd place at 24:47 and Ryanna Schreier was 45th at 24:48.10. Emily Kathman crossed the line at 26:37.70 for 55th overall and closing out the Rebel runners was Lily Schmahl in the 70th spot in a time of 29:38.20.
The varsity boys 5K race hosted 156 runners in the competition. MCC/F finished sixth overall tallying a score of 150 behind St. James (36), Worthington (70), Mt.Lake (75), Fairmont (86) and Martin County West (104). Windom Area was 7th (205), 8th went to Pipestone Area (126), Heron Lake (275), Jackson County Central (284) and SW MN Christian rounded out the 11 teams with 319.
