To cap the week and the month of April for the baseball season, the Rebels hosted the TMB Panthers in Slayton.  The Rebels jumped out to an early lead and slowly grew that lead as the game progressed, giving them a five-inning victory against the Panthers.

The Rebels took advantage of multiple walks issued to them in the first inning which gave them a large lead to begin the game.  Along with errors in the field and stolen bases, the Rebels were able to quickly put up six runs on their side of the scoreboard.  After a quick three-out top of the second, the Rebels tacked on another run in their half of the second when Matt McNab scored on a sacrifice fly to center hit from Justin Benda.

The Panthers got one run back in the top of the third inning that cut the lead down to 7-1, but the Rebels got back to scoring an inning later.  Kellan Johnson began the inning with a double and plated the eight run when Brady Woldt hit a double to center.  With an 8-1 lead, the Rebels worked to end the game early in the bottom of the fifth, and did so successfully.  Spencer Wajer walked to begin the inning and moved to third on a double hit by Nate Everson.  Brady Kremer followed with a double of his own, scoring both Wajer and Everson to give the Rebels a 10-1 lead.  An error moved Kremer to third base and finished off the game when McNab hit a single to drive the 11th run of the game.
