1961 – Mark Robert “PeeWee” Buldhaupt – 2019
Mark Buldhaupt was born on January 9, 1961, in Slayton, Minnesota to Donald and Joyce Voss Buldhaupt. Mark graduated from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in 1979. His great-grandfather Buldhaupt built the house that Mark called home. Mark farmed with his father Don, his uncle Robert Buldhaupt and cousin Jim Buldhaupt. Mark had a true love of the land and found great joy in his time spent caring for the land and his animals. In 2013 Mark was diagnosed with early-onset dementia and in 2018 had to move to the Adrian Country Living Cottages. On Tuesday, November 26, 2019, Mark moved to Cross Roads Care Center in Worthington, Minnesota where he passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at the age of 58. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, Minnesota where he served on the Church Council. Mark also served as a supervisor for the Lowville Township Board for many years. Mark loved playing sports, especially baseball where he was the catcher. Mark enjoyed watching Nascar and attended races in Florida and Nevada.
Survivors include his father Donald Buldhaupt, Lake Wilson, MN; one sister Lynn Buldhaupt, Lake Wilson, MN and one brother David Buldhaupt and his wife Ghislaine, Colorado Springs, CO; three nieces: Elaine Buldhaupt and Taggart, Heather and Jeremy Thomas and Stephanie Buldhaupt and Ed; three great-nephews: Caleb Buldhaupt, Oliver Thomas and Alexander Mark Thomas; and maternal grandmother Edna Voss, St. Cloud, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Buldhaupt; paternal grandparents George and Elsie Buldhaupt; maternal grandfather Henry Voss and his trusted friend Mick his Yellow Lab.
Funeral Services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN on Monday, December 2, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harlan Kaden officiating. The organist was Paul Mesner. The pallbearers were Kent Carlson, Lennie Carlson, Bruce Van Peursem, Gary Bruxvoort, Jim York, and Eli Ackerman. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN.
