For the final two regular season conference games, the Rebels matched up with the Heron Lake-Okabena and Adrian Area.  The first matchup with the Wildcats was all in favor of the Rebels, but the Dragons posed a challenge for MCC later in the week.

The Rebels opened up the match with the Wildcats in dominant fashion.  MCC started out strong and didn’t look back. Though the Wildcats cut into the lead a little, the damage was already done with a 25-15 win in favor of MCC.  The Wildcats found a way to battle back in the second set and made the Rebels work hard for the win. At the end of the set, the Rebels gained that edge and took the second win of the night, 25-21.

With the momentum in MCC’s favor, they used that to start out just like they did in the first set.  MCC cruised out to a big lead and built on it as the match drew closer to the end. 25-15 was the final score in the third set, which gave MCC the match win in three straight sets.

In the game against the Wildcats, Alyssa Groves finished with 17 kills while Elise Rohrer had eight.  Groves also finished with four blocks at the net.
