The feeling of fall is creeping into our lives and it seems so soon. The county fairs are over and we do have 128 days before Christmas so it is too soon to panic. Fall will be long and wonderfully warm as we frolic in the leaves.
Snow will be just in time for Christmas. I would suppose January and February will be mild and gentle warming to April showers. It does happen someplace but we will tough it out here anyway. Storms seem to be more prevalent for our part of the country than in the past. More weather extremes have become the norm which is disturbing. This is the year of wind damage and either lots of rain or very little.
We have a plethora of Democrats running for the office of the president but the painful process of dropouts will clear the field to a few worthy challengers. I’m not a political junkie and would hope for the process to be over. I want to put my money on the best choice to represent my values in running the country. Let’s hope for the best and live with the results.

Weary of constantly picking clothes up from the floor of her son’s room, a mother finally laid down the law. Each item of clothing she had to pick up would cost her son 25 cents.
By the end of the week, he owed her $9.50. She received the money promptly, along with a 50 cent tip and a note that read, “Thanks, Mom, keep up the good work!”
