Jottings by Jerry – September 27

No problem getting moisture this fall for that green grass. We will be mowing grass with the snowblower pulling the mower. Maybe not.

Last week went by with little or no participation from me. It turned out just fine without me. It was a quick oil change, some dents pounded out and some crucial tuning so everything is running right. Then they let me come home.

Duck hunting started last Saturday. It was not the greatest weather but turned out okay. I have had no reports on of how successful it was. It is one of the few openers I have missed.

I’m in favor of standing. We were taught to stand and everyone able to stand did. We did it because we respect the American Flag and the country it stands for. We know it has some flaws and changes can be made. Our country is still on top for rights that make it a dream destination for those who live in places that don’t have a cup of clean water. We stand for our flag, our national anthem and our country and it is not the place to make a personal statement. Sports can be enjoyed for itself. Religion is a freedom. Our country has a lot of ways changes can be made. The American Flag stands for our rights and we stand for our Flag.

Wife’s diary: We had plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping all day with my friends. Later he was acting weird. I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late. He was silent at the restaurant too and didn’t eat much. While going to bed, he was looking serious. I quietly lied down. I felt that his thoughts were somewhere else. I had lost him. What to do now?

Husband’s diary: My car didn’t start this morning. Wondering what could have happened to it. Had nice dinner with the wife.
