The 2019 Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show was held at the State Fairgrounds, September 13-16. Murray County 4-H members who attended were Karlie Heezen, Danica & Kennedy Jackels, Macy Posthuma, Makalya Rhodes, and Madelyn Wendland, Cameron 4-H Club; Kylee Brands, Jazilyn Buys, Cheyenne Hulstein, and Danica Prins, Chandler Hilltoppers 4-H Club; and Mary Lou McNab, Slayton Shooting Stars 4-H Club.
State Horse Show class results: (top 10 in their class):
•Jazilyn Buys (7th grade division) – 2nd Poles, 4th Barrels, 7th Key Race
•Kennedy Jackels (10th grade division) – 2nd Hunt Seat Equitation, 2nd Showmanship-Western, 3rd Western Pleasure
•Cheyenne Hulstein (11th grade division) – 2nd Trail Class, 3rd Western Pleasure, 5th Hunt Seat Pleasure, 6th Hunt Seat Equitation, 7th Western Showmanship
•Macy Posthuma (11th grade division) – 1st Trail Class, 1st Hunt Seat Equitation, 2nd Showmanship-Western, 5th Western Horsemanship
•Madelyn Wendland (12th grade division) – 5th Key Race, 7th Barrels
