Everyone likes to look and feel good for the holidays, and Slayton’s newest business can help you do that. Honey Bee Cosmetology will be opening November 15th. Owner and operator Eden Bengtson is excited to offer the community a fresh look at beauty.
As a Slayton native, Bengtson attended Murray County Central and loved being apart of the small but growing community. Her interest in perusing cosmetology started in high school with the wish to make people feel their best. In 2014, Bengtson attended the cosmetology program at Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, SD, and in 2016, graduated from Avalon School of Cosmetology in Worthington, MN. Her career started at a fast-paced hair salon where Bengtson learned how to be more efficient while also growing her skills as a cosmetologist. However, her true passion in the beauty industry was in nails, specifically in acrylic nails. This passion led her to find a job at a specialty nail salon, granting her the opportunity of practicing her passion.
