It was a full week of volleyball action for the Rebel team starting on Tuesday night when they traveled to Fulda to face off with the Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda. The Coyotes boosting a 13-12 overall record took advantage of the weaknesses in the Rebel defense and earned a 3-1 victory on game scores of 21-25, 12-25, 25-22 and 12-25.

MCC started off strong and took a commanding lead earning a 12-5 advantage in the contest. The Coyote squad began climbing their way back out of the dungeon. A lift and wide shot by the Rebels helped HLO/F pull within four.  Bryn Hoekman utilized her size to block out an offensive attack by the Coyotes to keep MCC out in front 13-10, but the home team went on to put three points on the scoreboard to tie the game at 13-13. The Rebels were able to stay with HLO/F for a couple of rounds, but then the Coyotes pushed past the visiting team to take a 19-15 advantage.

A couple of return errors by the Coyotes and an MCC block lifted the Rebels to inch within two points 19-21. A nice diving attempt by Brianna Schmitz to keep the ball in play yielded point 20. The Coyotes went on the claim the first game 25-21.
