Wednesday, July 12

vs Adrian

Hadley was hoping to get back into the win column as they traveled to Adrian to face the A’s. The night’s action went the way of the Buttermakers as they beat the A’s 13-3 in an eight-inning game.

Hadley jumped into the lead in the second inning when they plated three runs after only picking up one hit in the inning.  Hadley’s runs were attributed to three walks, a hit batter and an A’s fielding error for their runs.  Adrian got a run of their own on two doubles in their at bat in the second.

Hadley added to their lead in the third when they score five times.  Once again the A’s pitching attributed to the Buttermaker scoring as Hadley picked up three walks, two hit batters while only recording two hits.  Hadley went up 10-1 in the fourth on a two-run double by Alex Petersen.

Both teams scored in the sixth.  Hadley would pick up two runs after Alex Petersen led the inning with a triple.  Adrian scored a solo run in their half of the inning as the game moved to the seventh with Hadley ahead 12-2.  Adrian would get a run in the seventh to move the game along to the eighth.  Hadley added a run in the eight to go up by 10. Sam Erickson shut down the A’s in the bottom of the inning to end the game.
