Fulda/Murray County Central Warriors hosts last home meet of the year

The Warriors hosted Redwood-River Valley Badgers and the Minneota Vikings.  The evening started off with Minneota knocking off Redwood-River Valley in the first meet of the evening.  The Warriors then came out and wrestled Redwood-River Valley.  Dawson Blankenship was first up at 106# and wrestled his Redwood-River Valley opponent tough in the first period with the score 0-0 going into the second period.  Dawson chose down to try and get out and score the first point.  Dawson reversed his opponent and scored 2 points.  The third period Dawson’s opponent chose down to try and score, but Dawson rode his opponent out and won the match 2-0.  The next two weights were forfeited by the Warriors and then next up was Danny Blankenship at 126#.  Danny’s opponent placed fourth in the section last year at the same weight that Danny placed second.  Danny started the match by taking the Redwood-River Valley opponent down.  After that the Redwood-River Valley reversed Danny and tied the score up and right at the end of the period Danny escaped to regain the lead.  Danny started down during at the start of the second period and escaped from his opponent to increase the lead.  Danny’s opponent escaped again in the third period and Danny took him down to seal the win 6-3.  Next up for the Warriors was Christian Kuball at 138# and his opponent was one of Redwood-River Valley’s top wrestlers.  Christian came out and gave it his all.  Christian wrestled tough in the first period.  The second period Christian lost via fall.  The Warriors then sent out Rylan Behnke at 160# to wrestle against Redwood-River Valley.  Rylan wrestled back and forth with his opponent only to lose via fall in third period.  In the last match for the Warriors on varsity was Koyer Wendorff.  Koyer lost via fall to his more experienced Redwood-River Valley opponent.  The Warriors sent out three JV wrestlers against Redwood-River Valley; Logan Clarke, Ryder Henning, and Keigan Behnke.  All three wrestlers lost via fall in their matches against Redwood-River Valley.  The Warriors ended up losing to Redwood-River Valley 66-6 in the Varsity match.
