Last Tuesday evening, Slaytona Beach West played host to the Murray County Early Childhood Initiative’s (ECI) Families Reading Every Day (FRED) summer event. All present families enjoyed a meal served by the ECI, stories read aloud by members of the community, and some free books to bring home with them. The night closed with an open swim time and a drawing for prizes from Slaytona Beach. Pictured in the gallery are the winners of the evening’s door prizes: (L to R) Kiana Platt ($5 concession voucher), Garret Reith ($5 concession voucher), and Baylor Sell, with parents Jake and Lindsey, and sibling Brockton and Carter, received a Family Pool Pass for 2020.
