Fulda was the site for Thursday night’s triangular meet between Fulda/Murray County Central, Adrian, and Marshall. Up first on the mat were the teams from Adrian and Marshall.
Then the Warriors tested their skills against a very tough and talented Marshall team. F/MCC is young and short on numbers leaving several spots on the roster open. This, along with their youth, made for quick work of the Warrior squad by the Marshall Tigers. They hosted a full squad along with the majority of their wrestlers being juniors or seniors. The Tigers blanked the home team 77-0.
Adrian won three matches by fall and as well as eight matches via forfeit in a victory at the Fulda/Murray County Central triangular.
In junior varsity competition, Jesse Ray earned his second pin of the night by putting Bullerman’s shoulders to the mat. Earlier that evening Ray squared off with Marshall.
Landen Like-Bonnstetter opened the match with Adrian against Breyer Hieronimus. Landen got tangled up and was taken down and eventually turned over for the pin by Hieronimus.
Adrian quickly moved out front with the next three weight classes open for the Warriors.
Christian Kuball, wrestling at 145, took on Elias of the Dragon squad. Kuball was able to power over his opponent. Grabbing the back side of the knees, Kuball tipped the shoulder back for the pin.
