To open up the week, the Rebels played host to the Ellsworth Panthers on Tuesday, October 3rd in Slayton.  The Rebels came out firing on offense that match as they used a great offensive attack to control the tempo of the game and easily walk away with the victory in three sets.

In the first set, the Rebels got out to an early lead and didn’t look back.  They had a large lead right away and Ellsworth couldn’t get anything going to come back.  In the end, the Rebels commanded the first set with a 25-12 victory.

Though the first set was in MCC’s favor, the Panthers found something in the second set to make the Rebels work harder.  Both teams went back and forth for the majority of the set while the Panthers stayed right with the Rebels to the end.  Though the hard work of the Panthers kept them in the game, the Rebels had the upper hand late to win the second set, 25-22.
