After the win against Edgerton, the Rebels looked to earn another victory against the Adrian Dragons on Thursday in Adrian. Rebels starting pitcher Kellan Johnson along with Dragons’ pitcher, Jacob Stammer were in a pitcher’s duel for most of the game. In the end, the Dragons used a late scoring opportunity to pull ahead for the win, 4-0.

Both Johnson and Stammer were dominant on the mound as only just a couple of runners from both sides got a runner on base in the first few innings. The only runner for the Rebels to reach base in the first three innings was Spencer Wajer in the third inning when he belted a double to left field.

For the Dragons, Stammer led off the bottom of the first with a walk and stole second. Johnson struck out the side in the first after that to keep the Dragons without a run.

The Rebels had a great scoring opportunity in the top of the fourth inning. Brady Kremer led off with a single and stole second base. A fielder’s choice play got Kremer out at third base while Kellan Johnson reached first safely. Johnson also stole second and with two outs in the inning, Justin Benda walked for two runners on the bases. Brady Woldt was hit by a pitch three pitches later that loaded the bases up for MCC. A ground out ended the scoring chance for MCC.
