By: Rebecca Hudson Murray County News Staffwriter

Contract revisions for Murray County Central coaching assignments were approved Monday at the school board's regular meeting. Assistant Football Coach Patrick Freeman will be moved to the head coaching position, while secondary physical education teacher Derek Lieser was named assistant football coach and head varsity baseball coach.  Davina Ethridege was hired for the 2014-15 school year as secondary science teacher.

Early retirement incentive packages were approved for both Ardis Andert and Tarry Boelter.  In addition, both were granted payment for unused "days out of district".

The Board approved the membership to the Minnesota Rural Education Association (MREA) for 2014-15 at the cost of $1,626.00.  The membership fee, Superintendent Luther Onken explained, is calculated based on the student count.  Recent donations acknowledged included $20 from Charlene Steensma for the volleyball program in  honor of Sue Jones,  $386.80 from Box Tops for Education for the ECFE, and $223 from the K-Kids for the Little Rebels program.
