SPD ON THE BEAT

April 2, 2014

March 19 through March 25
March 19

The Slayton Police Department (SPD) was contacted by an adult female at 7:44 on the evening of March 19, 2014 from 3200 Maple Avenue. The woman told SPD she had been receiving harassing telephone calls. SPD determined the calls were from collection agencies. The adult female requested extra patrol, because she was fearful the callers were going to cause her harm. SPD advised her this is a civil matter. Extra patrol was provided.

SPD stopped a vehicle in the area of 29th Street and Maple Avenue at 11:52 that night. A juvenile male driver was advised of the curfew violation and to go directly home.
