with loss to Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles
The MCC Rebel boys finished their season in the sub section semi finals against the defending state champion Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles. The Rebels had lost two previous games to the Eagles this year with two very different out comes. The Rebels lost a tough battle in Edgerton in the first game of the year with the difference being a ten point run in the first half by the Eagles other than that the game was played evenly. Late in the year the Eagles wanted to prove they were a far better team and Leighton Sampson and the Eagles took it to the Rebels in Slayton. Now in Worthington the Rebels did some good things in the first half but the inability to score against the Eagles tough defense cost the Rebels any chance at getting a win and advancing in the playoffs.

The Rebels game plan was to slow the game down as much as possible and force the Eagles to play long stretches of defense.
