SPD ON THE BEAT

The Slayton Police Department (SPD) responded to the 2400 block of Linden Avenue at 7:34 on the morning of October 30, 2013 for an adult female who had fallen had arm pain. Murray County Ambulance (MCA) responded and was assisted by SPD. The woman was transported to Murray County Medical Center (MCMC) for treatment.

A vehicle was unlocked in the 2500 block of Maple Avenue without causing damage to the vehicle at 8:48 that morning.

An adult male came to the SPD office in the 2200 block of Broadway Avenue at 3:22 in the afternoon asking for advice on getting his wife out of the nursing home. SPD collected information and advised the adult male this was a civil matter and recommended he contact an attorney.

SPD was called to MCMC at 3:50 that afternoon to assist with an adult female patient being placed on a mental health hold who was being combative. The situation was mediated.
