The Slayton Police Department (SPD) responded to a 911 hang up call from Murray County Medical Center (MCMC) at 8:47 on the morning of October 23, 2013. There was no emergency at the location when SPD arrived. A staff member was identified who had inadvertently dialed 911. Things were found to be all right.

Investigation into a parking complaint was made in the 2000 block of Juniper Avenue at 10:02 that morning. SPD made contact with the vehicle’s owner who moved the vehicle without incident.

Assistance was made to Southwest Health and Human Services (SHHS) in the 2700 block of 24th Street at 3:01 in the afternoon with removing two juveniles from a residence for unsafe living conditions. The juveniles were placed into foster care. A report was made and shared with SHHS.
