If there was only a manual and a process to be used the same for every child, it would be a piece of cake.
Last Friday I had the opportunity to sub in the grade school in the morning. It was fun to see the kids again, and to see how much they have grown and changed. When I retired, I asked the school to put me on the "desperate" sub list...so I don't get asked too often! After all, I thought, if I am going to be retired, I want to spend most of my days doing something different than what I did for so many years. Otherwise, it would seem sensible to me to remain employed in my chosen field. It has been a great time of withdrawing from being bound by the clock, even though I loved teaching and being with children for so many years. That is what I wish to write about today...children!
