Recipes: Carrot Cake; Carrot Oatmeal Muffins; and Quick Potato Soup
It has been a busy week with Homecoming activities and the Hospice rummage sale. Last week there were a few hours open to help with unpacking the boxes brought in for the sale. It takes a lot of people to set up with the abundance of clothes, bedding, Christmas items, furniture, household items and, of course, the shoes and toys. This year I heard the comment that the quality seems to get better every year and there were many items still with the tags on them. The volunteers try to arrange by category and size, however, with the amount of items there isn’t always room on the tables or time to be real accurate. Besides half of the fun of the shopping is discovering a real find in the pile. A big thank you to those that help every year and also the shoppers. It is a great fund raiser for Hospice.
