The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a report from an adult male at 12:46 on the afternoon of August 31, 2013 that an adult female had sent him some text messages suggesting she may be suicidal. He also told SPD he though she was living in a storage unit she was renting. SPD went to the storage facility, but she was not there. She was found in Slayton later that afternoon, and she was fine. She indicated she was experiencing a rough spot in her life, but nothing she considered overwhelming. SPD advised her to contact them if she needed anything in the future.

An adult male was stopped in the 2400 block of Highway 59 at 11:59 that night and warned for failure to use his turn signal.

September 1

Assistance was made to Murray County Ambulance (MCA) at 9:30 on the morning of September 1, 2013 with an adult male having a seizure at 3200 Maple Avenue. Medical attention was provided. The individual refused to be transported.
