Hearings for ditch systems held at county board meeting
The Murray County Board of Commissioners scheduled several ditch meetings for the morning of July 23. The first was a preliminary hearing for County Ditch #35. Kurt Deter, attorney for the petitioners, presented the four items that were to be discussed - The proposed project, the necessity of the project, benefits to the landowners, and the outlet. The ditch is four miles east of Slayton and drains eight sections in Lime Lake Township. Duane Hansel, engineer with Bolton and Menk recommendation the project to be feasible and practical, is inadequate at the present time, and would be adequate for discharge and that viewers be appointed.
