Cardinals, Farmers Markets, Fairs
There is a successful hatch of cardinals in the neighborhood. I'm not sure exactly where but the young have been consistent visitors in our back yard. Interesting to watch as he goes about the business of finding a meal. Our offerings haven't been used that much to find out if there is a preference but it looks like seeds and nuts are pretty good. Grape jelly isn't used much. The high energy used to search for food keeps the bird moving. His color is on the lite side yet. Hopefully there is enough cover.

There is a promise of locally grown corn at the Farmers Markets this week. Always a nice addition. Tomatoes started last week and should continue thru the season. Cabbage and cucumbers are starting for what looks like a good year. The cool weather this past week was comfortable and the rain was appreciated.

Next week this time Thursday it will be fair time for Nobles County, bunnies, stock cars, strawberry malts and corn dogs. If you have a little extra time, stop by our booth. We would like to talk with you.

Three drunks hailed a taxi. The taxi driver seeing that they were so wasted when they got in, he just switched on the engine and switched it off, and said we are here. The 1st guy gave him money, 2nd guy said thanks, but the 3rd guy slapped him. The taxi driver was stunned because he was hoping that none of them would have realized the car didn't move an inch. So what was that for, he asked. Control your speed next time, you almost killed us.

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence it's probably astro turf.
