Renovation of cattle barn at fairgrounds - bids to be opened on August 20; used fishing pier purchased
What appeared to be a very short agenda for the Murray County Board of Commissioners on July 16 accumulated to a full morning of business with the additions and the review of the budget for the highway department.

The board approved ditch repairs for County Ditch #57, Section 13, Chanarambie Township; Judicial Ditch #14, Section 17, Leeds Township; CD #22, Section 24, Shetek Township; CD #43M, Section 15, Belfast Township and CD #23, Section 23, Ellsborough Township.

Parks director Justin Hoff-man presented to the board a request to purchase a used fishing pier from the Balaton Foundation for the parks department. The board agreed to the $1,000 expenditure. The pier will be moved to Slayton and repaired as needed by the parks department and ready to be placed in a county park next spring.
