Garbage cans and benches were added to the Slayton Disc Golf Course as part of an improvement project put on by the Slayton Shooting Stars 4-H club.
Slayton's Disc Golf Course
This spring the Slayton Shooting Stars 4-H Club received $250 from the Association of Minnesota Counties as the recipient of a 2013 AMC 4-H Community Leadership Award. The club matched the award amount to add benches and garbage cans to improve the disc golf course. The City of Slayton graciously provided public space for the course and staff to assist with construction. The City also provided recycled benches and placed cement pads in two locations on the course; cement was donated by Buffalo Ridge Concrete. Many local organizations and groups donated financially to the project.

The course is located on the south side of the baseball and softball fields. Play begins at Hole 1 located near the swimming pool parking lot. Bring your discs for an afternoon of fun with your family or friends!

The club received $250 from the Association of Minnesota Counties and matched that to complete the project.
