Memorial services were held at Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating. 
1934 - Carlyle Allen Hansen - 2013

Carlyle Hansen “Junior” was born on August 24, 1934 in Windom, Minnesota to Carlyle and Lila Schutz Hansen. He grew up in Storden, Minnesota and attended Storden High School. On April 15, 1953 Carlyle enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge on March 9, 1955 Carlyle moved to Chicago, Illinois for a short time before moving to Arizona. Carlyle worked for a well drilling company until 1996. Carlyle met his life partner Mary Markley while in Bouse, Arizona. In 1997 they moved to Currie, Minnesota. On October 14, 2011 Mary passed away. Carlyle remained in their home until June 7, 2013 when he became a resident of the Golden Living Center-Slayton where he passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the age of 78. He was a member of the Currie American Legion Post. Carlyle enjoyed fishing and country music. 

Survivors include two daughters: Joan Lindbloom Hansen and Christy Hansen; daughter-in-law Marcie Hansen; five step children: George and Rose Weber, Colleen and Bill Clark, Sandra Coon and Greg Pommier, Michael and Mary Weber and Kenneth and Pam Weber and several other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Marty Hansen. 

Memorial services were held at Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating.  Interment is private. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton was entrusted with arrangements. To send condolences visit totzkefuneralhome.com.
