As the season draws closer to tournament time, the Rebels are battling hard to secure a great spot in the Section 3A playoffs. To get there, the Rebels had to fight some tough opponents during one week. They started out the week by hosting the Flying Duthcman from Edgerton, hosted the Falcons on Saturday, and traveled to Edgerton in three key conference games.

The first game of the week was against Edgerton/Southwest Christian in Slayton. Rebels ace Sam Erickson began on the mound and shut down the Dutchman in order in the top half of the first. In the bottom of the first, the Rebels struck first. Seth Bass led off the inning with a single and later moved to second on a steal. Paul Mesner dropped a single just over the second basemanís head that put runnerís on the corners with no outs. During Nick Petersenís at bat, a wild pitch was thrown and Bass was able to slide in safely to score the first run. Mesner was stranded at second as MCC went up, 1-0.
