Rebels win over Wildcats

During the first game of the season, the Rebels blew out the Wildcats in five innings in Heron Lake. On Monday, the Wildcats came to Slayton for a re-match. Southwest United was able to cool off the Rebel bats and held them to only six runs in the game, but they couldnít capitalize as Senior pitcher Ashley Clarke didnít allow a single base hit all game and helped the Rebels to another conference victory with a complete game no-hitter.

Clarke shut down the Wildcats in order in the top of the first inning. Offensively, the Rebels struck first in the bottom of the first, but only collected one run. Jade Giese led off with a sharp single and stole second. Later, she moved over to third where with one out, Taylor Schreier hit a sacrifice fly to center field to plate Giese.
