falls to Falcons, splits with Wolverines

The Murray County Central baseball team was quite busy last week as they played three conference games. The first came on Tuesday when the Rebels traveled to Lamberton to take on the Falcons of RRC/W-WG. The second contest was a double header that MCC hosted against Mountain Lake.

The Falcons and the Rebels played a very close game, but the Falcons had the upper hand right away. With one out in the inning, Brady Bierl lined a single to the outfield and was followed up with another single hit by Tyler Schoborg. With a 2-1 count, Henry Rogotzke smashed a double to the gap that scored both Bierl and Schoborg. Rogotzke wasn’t able to score later in the inning, and the Falcons took the field with a 2-0 lead.
