Mock Drunk Driving Crash Scene
By: Kristel Nelson Murray County News Staffwriter

Narrator: What you just saw outside was a two vehicle accident with injuries that occurred as a result of drinking and driving. There were six victims in this accident, four of them are high school students...or were high school students that were on their way to a party after prom. And two of them, the passenger and driver in the other vehicle were middle aged males, high school staff that were on their way back to the school to help clean up after prom.

This was the narration following a mock accident scene set up at Murray County Central last Friday afternoon. Members of the Murray County Sheriff’s department, EMTs, Slayton Fire Department and Slayton Police Department helped re-enact the scene to bring to realization of drinking and driving.

Narrator: In the second 10th of a second: The hoods rose, crumpled, and smash in the windshield. The rear wheels left the ground.
