Recipes: Ham and Noodle Bake; Cornbread Salad; and Rhubarb Squares
At last we have spring. How quickly the snow melted on Thursday and Friday, especially since it didnít even freeze overnight. On Wednesday Frances and I went to Sioux Falls and the weather was absolutely beautiful. We wondered all day why they had predicted rain and snow. We were home about a half hour and all of a sudden there was rain that turned into snow. It didnít last long but enough to cover the streets again. By evening it had melted and the streets were steaming. It has been quite a week weatherwise. Monday lots of snow, late start for school on Tuesday, sunshine and possibly 70s by Saturday and Sunday. It will still be a while before the farmers are able to get in the fields, however, it does look more promising. How anxious we get when the time draws near. Ruth said their garden beans in Texas are flowering and they should have some to pick shortly. By the time we are ready to plant, theirs will be done but then we have a longer growing season than they do.
