The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a report from the 2600 block of King Avenue at 12:12 on the morning of April 10, 2013 that large tree branch had fallen on his vehicle. SPD removed the tree branch from the vehicle and roadway. The caller was advised to contact his insurance company.

While on routine patrol on Park Drive at 12:55 that morning, SPD observed a power line that had fallen onto the roadway. The area was secured, and Xcel Energy was notified.

An adult female reported from the 2500 block of King Avenue at 6:44 in the evening a power line had fallen onto the roadway of the alley. SPD secured the area and notified Xcel Energy.
