This week’s recipes: Asparagus in Puff Pastry; Rhubarb Muffins; and Tangy Fruit Punch
The Boston Marathon incident held special interest for us as our granddaughter Sarah lives there. She moved there a year or so ago to work with a renewal energy company as a meteorologist/engineer. Then on Friday morning when they identified the suspects we were even more intrigued as there was a voluntary lock down of the area where she lives at Somerville, about a mile from Cambridge, however, she had left for work before that happened. When I talked to her she wasn’t sure if she would get home in the evening. My Aunt Rose’s apartment, when she lived in Boston (actually Cambridge), was a half block away from the bombing site and she had observed the marathon many times. Our world becomes much smaller when we can put names and faces to the area.
