The SD Horse Fair will host some “big sized” action in Expo building on the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls March 15-17. The six horse hitch of registered black Shire Draft Horses owned by Houston Haugo, Sioux Falls, SD will perform in a driving demonstration at 1:00 p.m. Saturday and 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

Of all the Draft horse breeds, the Shire is the rarest breed. Less than half a dozen six horse hitches of Shires are currently being exhibited in the United States. This is a real opportunity to enjoy the action and beauty of these animals that are each black, with four white stockings and faces, and tip the scale at about one ton each!
