The MCC Rebel girls were on the road Thursday in Adrian to take on the Dragons. The Rebels had played the top teams in the Red Rock Conference tough but they did not have a win against them so far this season. The Rebels led at halftime in three of the four games after Thursday night but their struggling offense in the second half of those games was one of the top reasons they did not hold on in any of those games. MCC has been finishing the season in one of the tougher stretches of the year with three of their final four games coming against the top three teams in the conference. The Rebels struggled in this game and never gave themselves a chance at a win.
MCC’s troubles this season all seemed to come together in this game - all at the same time. The Rebels have struggled with their shooting even though they are the second highest scoring team in the Red Rock Conference. They also have turned the ball over too much in key games and in this game it wasn’t only the number of turnovers, but the difference in turnovers between the two teams.
