Recipes this week: Onion Beef Au Jus; Spinach Slaw; Two-Berry Crisp with Pecan Streusel Topping
There are times our lives go on from day to day with all of the usual and we become complacent and think the routine is always supposed to be that way. That’s not to say it is boring, far from it. Then something happens to wake us up and to put us on alert. How quickly our lives change when we lose a family member and for us that has happened six times since August 2012. As we age we realize that this will happen more often. The most difficult is when the deceased is what we consider young (our nephew Paul Bloemendaal - Pipestone) or it is quite sudden as Ron Mesner-our daughter’s father-in-law. One day more with any of them would never be enough, however, nor would we want them to endure their diminished quality of life any more.
