Seventh Grade
The MCC seventh grade boys basketball team celebrated Martin Luther King Day by defeating the Fulda Raiders 40 - 34 in a Red Rock Conference basketball game. The Raiders had defeated the Rebels earlier in the year by a wide margin, but the young Rebels played very well and earned the well-deserved victory. The Rebels jumped out to an early lead in this game behind the inside scoring of Brandon Winter, but the Raiders stormed back and took a 21-19 halftime lead. Eight Grade The MCC eighth grade team had mixed results the week of January 21, picking up a victory over Fulda, but suffering an overtime loss to Tracy/Milroy/Balaton. The Rebels defeated Fulda by one point in their first meeting of the year at Slayton.
